Volunteer Opportunities with our current Recipient, CAG:
CAG has just announced the hiring of their new Executive Director, Britni LeRoux. Check back (or watch your email) for future Act Locally Golden volunteer opportunities with CAG. In the meantime, you can volunteer in their food pantry, thrift store and more by printing, completing, and dropping off their Volunteer Application.
Volunteer Opportunities with our 2022 Recipient, Home in Golden:
Safe Parking Program: Volunteers are needed to help guests obtain food, clothing, use the computer, the shower and bathroom or just be there to visit with people.
Meal Preparation and Service: Home in Golden serves a hot lunch every Saturday and Thursday, and a hot or sack lunch on Tuesdays, to anyone in the community who wants to participate. Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve these meals.
Laundry and Clothing/Food Organization: Volunteers are also needed to organize clothing and food donations and to do laundry for Safe Parking participants.

Social Events:
Our most recent event was August 27, 2023: Shop for a Cause for CAG. This was a fun backyard shopping boutique with food and drinks, at which we raised over $1,600 for CAG. Other past social events have included two virtual and two in person card-making parties for Golden Senior Santa, an organization that supports senior citizens in Golden, a virtual Wine & Cheese Tasting with Cheese Ranch Artisan Deli, and several in-person happy hours at various local venues.
